In 2007, a small group of believers gathered in Pioneer, California, with a simple but powerful conviction: that the message of Jesus Christ—the same yesterday, today, and forever—still brings healing to broken hearts, broken lives, and broken communities. From the very beginning, they weren't just building a church. They were building a family.
For eight years, that family grew and worshipped together in Pioneer. Then, in 2015, God opened a new door. The congregation moved to Pine Grove, carrying with them the same mission, the same faith, and the same name. The building changed. The calling didn't.
We are a small congregation; we know each other's stories. We pray for one another, celebrating each other's victories, and carrying each other's burdens. We believe God has not finished writing our stories. We believe He is calling us to something new: to open our doors wider, to reach further into the Amador community, and to welcome anyone into the family of faith.

We're part of the Foursquare movement—a global family of churches founded on the belief that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV). That means we're connected to something much bigger than ourselves: a worldwide movement of 90,000+ churches.
Locally, the Healing Word exists to be a healing presence in Amador County.
We believe there is one God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus is both fully God, and fully man.
We believe Jesus lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross to pay for our sins, rose from the dead three days later, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.
We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). No one comes onto the Father, except through him.
We believe the Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament, is God's Authoritative Word for us today.
Jesus teaches us to love God and our neighbor, showing mercy and forgiveness to others.
We believe that Jesus is our soon-coming King.
